5 day course

This course will focus on high quality leathergoods designed specifically for men. The range of  leathergoods students can choose to make include:

Student with leather box

• Belts, from hide and skins, lined or unlined
• Wallets, folding notecases, travel wallets, card cases  & organisers
• Briefcases, folios, computer cases, key cases etc
• Boxes for cuff-links, jewellery, collars etc

Students will be helped to perfect their hand stitching skills and be introduced to different construction options . These will involve paring and edge finishing techniques.

Students can bring their own design ideas and be helped to make the patterns, taking into account the range of construction options available. They may then be able to complete  one or more projects.   Patterns will be available for students to use if they prefer.
A range of suitable leathers and fittings will be available for students to buy as well as a small range of tools.

A set of bench tools will be provided for students to use during the course.
This course is suitable for those with some experience or who have attended at least one of our other courses.

There will be a maximum of 4 students.
Materials costs are not included in the course fee.
