Small leathergoods

2 day course

On this course students learn how to make various examples of ‘cut edge’ and ‘turned-edge’ small leathergoods.

It covers pattern-making, hand paring, turned edges, linings and hand stitching fine leathers such as calf, goat and pig skins. Mastering the Paring knife and keeping it sharp are very important elements of this course.
Students can expect to make at least 2 or 3 finished pieces.

A set of tools are provided for students to use and some can be bought at the end of the course. A list of suppliers is  provided for each student to take away.
